Autism Evaluation Clinic

Alabama and Florida

Early assessment and diagnosis for children thought of having ASD

This specialized clinic offers comprehensive assessment and diagnostic services for young children aged 2-5 suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Professional staff provide multidisciplinary approach evaluations that include social and emotional development, communication, thinking and problem-solving abilities, adaptive skills, and behavior assessments. This clinic – the first of its kind in the region – plays a crucial role in the early identification, diagnosis, and intervention for young children with ASD, helping them and their families access the support and services they need to thrive.

Autism evaluations can be initiated by parents through a direct call, by a referral from a pediatrician, or through a referral from another community agency partner. Through careful assessment and collaborative teamwork, the clinic will provide your pediatrician with a comprehensive evaluation report, which includes individualized recommendations for your family. The pediatrician then determines the final diagnosis using the DSM-5 checklist and provides the results to the family to ensure continuity of care. The clinic also offers guidance for intervention, support services, and resources tailored to the child’s needs.
