Goodwill Gulf Coast provides the community with an inclusive child development center in partnership with Mobile County Public Schools. Children of all abilities, from 2.5 years to preschool age, receive high-quality care, education, and developmental support with small child-staff ratios in a program designed to prepare children for kindergarten. Located at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church in Mobile, the center provides children with activities that promote cognitive development, early literacy, creative expression, and social-emotional skills. Through group activities, cooperative play, and structured learning, children of all abilities develop social skills, empathy, and a sense of belonging. The CDC also offers Parent Education and Support Programs funded by the Alabama Children’s Trust Fund (CTF).
The Child Development Center (CDC) partners with the Mobile County Public Schools’ Special Education preschool department. When should a child be referred to the CDC?
